Recent News

The Kentucky Traveler Band NEW CD, Live at the Red Barn is now available at live performances or any time you see Carla, Dick or Shirley.

I had a great time as the front act for my long time friends and music idols, Exile. Sharing the stage with them at a private event (400-500) was a career high and a dream come true for me.

We are looking forward to another great year, new music and old friends. See you soon!

The KY Traveler Trio is Shirley Hudson on fiddle and back up vocals; Dick Hudson (yes, the husband) on lead guitar and vocals along with yours truely. Jesse Pena signed on  KY Traveler Band to play bass for another year. He teaches music for a living and has tons of experience. He adds  not only talent but fun to our performance. I appreciate them all and I know you will too.

We have played together for years now and have created a long song list of Bluegrass and more songs. The harmonies have a smooth blend now. Mostly we like to have fun with our audience.

The CD "Kentucky Home" and "Moonlit Mountain Road" are available at Joseph Beth Booksellers, Lexington, KY and on www.cdbaby.com and www.carla sings.com along with Old Times and Memories.

Moonlit Mountain Road, CD #3, was recorded at Toys in the Attic. Dwight Dunlap is the engineer. Gerry Gillespie on bass and guitar, Ken Holbrook on guitar, Daniel Carwile on violin and mandolin, David White on drums, Orville Hammond on keyboards; vocalists, Van Berry, Leatha Lightsey, Vivian Lasly-Bidds. Keith Hubbard plays blues piano on the project. The music keeps growing. Thanks for your support. Keep your ears open for more announcements.
